Formed in 1991, The Indiana Research Institute (IRI), is an emerging small business, located in Columbus Indiana (about 40 miles South of Indianapolis). IRI has two major facility locations: The Engine Remanufacturing Building (ERB) a 20,000 sq-ft and Military Engine Technical Center (METC) consisting of 5 buildings totaling 100,000 sq-ft. METC is the former Cummins Technical Center for B and C engine development from the birth of B and C engines until year 2000. IRI has been a supplier to Cummins Inc. since 1991 in the areas 8of research and development, engine repair, engine rebuild and a supplier of remanufactured engine services to Cummins Inc. since 2001. IRI has been the prime contractor in overhauling V903 marine engines awarded by United States Coast Guard since 2005. IRI also reclaims 300+ Cummins B 6.7L engine components per year for Cummins beginning in 2008. 0
